Kisnou is Giuseppe (Giusè for short) Tria, a musician and composer born in Bari, Italy. His passion for music stemmed naturally from listening to his mother as well as many artists such as Koda, Owsey, Sorrow and countless more. Many forgettable events generated a burden for depression, anxiety and fear, and these feelings bubbled as a volcano ready to erupt. This eruption turned into a burning desire to run away for a better life, and ultimately it turned into hope.
Kisnou decided to answer his passion for music as it knocked at the door. After countless nights spent alone in a dark room, he was, at last, not alone anymore. The discovery of music became like oxygen, turning pain into a desire to escape, a will to be free.
“Music has been my refuge and I want it to become the same safe place for others, for those who are lost, in danger, or trapped in their own mind. There is always a way out. I hope my music will lead the way”, Giusè says.
With masterpieces such as ‘Alive’, ‘Falling Deeper’, ‘Vertigo’, people from around the world began to feel a deep connection with his music, counting more than 7 million streams on Spotify alone in 2020. Kisnou’s music is often defined as other-worldly: perfect for times that require atmosphere.
Kisnou’s latest release, Out of the Dark is available through Emancipator’s Loci Records.
