SKYENCE

SKYENCE is the musical chimera of Hamburg based composer and sound designer Jochen Mader. While composing music for films and commercials for over a decade, SKYENCE is a condensate of ideas and inspiration from a purely artistic approach. A medium to express his fascination for the infinite layers of reality and life itself.

More than a decade of travelling through the world of music, starting from the native land of hiphop, over the hills of zion, passing the babylon wall, through the sinewaves of electronica, floating on the raging current of drum&bass right down to the deep realms of dubstep – packed with nothing more than passion, patience and ambition.

With releases on labels such as Ad Noiseam, Equinox, Project:Mooncircle, Stoke Audio, DubKraft, Echodub and his new home Modularfield, his approach to music and sound design has always been evolving, picking up background noises from a lot of genres and non-genres. Having collaborated with and remixed a variety of artists in the past from HECQ to Panic Girl and Taprikk Sweezee, he’s been diving into sound design heavy realms lately with his 2018 COMPANION EP (Modularfield).
